Introduced in February 1989, it is a hoppy, amber, full-flavoured ale. In the definitive Great Beer Guide, beer critic Michael Jackson described it in the following way:
“Their pale ale is very perfumy, outstandingly hoppy in aroma and flavor, dry and appetizing. It has a light, soft body, but full, long flavors, developing lemony-orangey notes, and an elegant dryness in the finish.”
St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout Country: Canada Style: Oatmeal Stout Alcohol by Volume: 5% Format: 24 x 341ml Availability: Regularly stocked Tasting Notes: Brewed from 40 percent dark malts and roasted barley, this intensely black ale carries strong hints of espresso and chocolate. Oatmeal contributes body and a long-lasting mocha-coloured head to this well-hopped beer. At the World Beer Championship in 1994, St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout received the second highest rating of the over 200 beers in the competition and won one of only nine platinum medals awarded.

Pale gold in colour with the taste experience of an aromatic, quenching drink offering a balance of flavourful wheat beer character with a dry, prominent, apricot finish. Enjoyed by both the discerning beer drinker and those who prefer fruity, less traditional beverages and beers. St-Ambroise Vintage Ale Country: Canada Style: Barley-wine Alcohol by Volume: 8-10% depending on vintage Format: 12 x 341ml Availability: Rare Tasting Notes: Made with a blend of wheat and barley malts, including Munich malt, this unfiltered ale has a lovely deep-orange colour, rich maltiness, hints of caramelised fruit that recall plum pudding, and a surprisingly crisp, balanced finish provided by classic Goldings hops.
Serve St-Ambroise Vintage Ale between 13 ºC and 15 ºC, preferably in a port glass or brandy snifter. Also, this vintage ale will improve with age for a number of years. Store in a cool, dark place.

St-Ambroise Scotch Ale Country: Canada Style: Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy Alcohol by Volume: 7.2% Format: 24 x 341ml Availability: Rare Tasting Notes: We are proud to celebrate 400 years of Scottish heritage in Quebec with our limited edition McAuslan Scotch Ale. This malty beer evokes the classic “wee heavies” or the full-bodied, 90-shilling, strong winter ales of Scotland. St-Ambroise Scotch Ale is dark ruby red ale with a tawny head, sweet and malty, with hints of vanilla and butterscotch, and a long hop finish. With 7.2% alcohol, it is the ideal beer to fend off winter chills, but its full flavour makes it a favourite all year round.

Made from a blend of barley malts, St-Ambroise Russian Imperial Stout is infused with Cascade, Goldings and Willamette hops, resulting in an outstanding hop-character with a smooth finish. Bourbon wood-aged, this full-bodied ale has a rich, smoky aroma with hints of vanilla, coffee and chocolate.
