Tasting Notes: A deep brown colour bock with a nice foamy head with good retention.  A bouquet of rich and sticky dark fruits ooze from the glass. Dark raisons, fig pudding, and mushy dates make a cake-like richness come to mind.  Furthered by fresh toasted dark bread and liquid dark chocolate.  Alcohol peaks through but is not a force.  Quite sweet and very rich, but not over done.

Tasting Notes: In Düsseldorf, when a brewer offers a bolder than usual Altbier, only faithful patrons are told.  It is a "secret" or "sticke" in German. This amber beer crafted from Quebécois malts and European hops is dominated by a gripping bitterness.  Dark copper with a lovely sweet maltness and fruitiness that is balanced by a fresh hop character.
